Radiohead’s In Rainbows has been nominated for “Album of the Year” in the year’s Grammy Awards.

Here’s who they are up against:

Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III
Ne-Yo - Year Of The Gentleman
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand
Radiohead - In Rainbows

In addition to “Album of the Year”, they were also nominated in the following categories:

7 NOMINATIONS. Radiohead is so different from everyone else on that list, they actually create ART. Their music is art. They are so original and blorg if coldplay,neyo,or little wayne win I will laugh! It won’t bother me because I am not a fan of award shows/media/tv/popular opinion so for that matter I don’t really want them to win; but if the others do prevail I will just have to laugh because then we have a fact: that everything on television is a joke. I know that I sound obsessive and biased, but I listen to other music all of the time I swear :) But I just have to throw it out there that against Radiohead, nothing mainstream could ever be even considered art or music at least to my ears. INDUSTRY BUSINESS INDUSTRY BUSINESS INDUSTRY 

 (Actually, I am quite surprised that Radiohead was even considered and if they even show up: I hope they misbehave)

Facebook Deactivation

I deleted my facebook about two weeks ago. I am still habitually typing in facebook.com every time I get on the computer though! The positives of deleting it are that I actually do other things on the computer now; I look up books and art and information and music and videos, rather than just goin on facebook and talking to my friends and keying in pointless comments on a network of the same self-centered photographs over and over. And I have been a lot more focused on my work and have been going to bed earlier.. But! I have lost connection with a lot of people. It’s ridiculous how inconvenient not having a facebook is! I’m not going back to it, but I have been tempted. It is so good for keeping in touch with people, but there are just too many things that make me feel that my whole situation on there was just wrong. It is kind of weird to me that you can’t really delete your facebook though, you can only deactivate it. Or at least that is the only way that I could find of getting rid of mine.
